Small Talk With Brett

by Brett Vebber

Cystic Fibrosis affects the whole family and issues need to be addressed as a family.  This section is dedicated to focusing on the family for encouragement and advice because it seems society is seeing a break in family values and intimacy.

This issue's topic is lung transplants, a decision hard for even myself.  In making big decisions it is wise to see the good and the bad as possibilities and to investigate both avenues with as much education as we can gather because we do not know what the future holds.

I asked my parents for their thoughts and they always have said that it is up to me.  Discussing the good and bad is very helpful to me because they have some great advice to give.  The only advice that I would have is to not live in fear or to think it is a cure.  Be sure to make an educated decision!
