Alabama CF Foundation Update
Great Strides Walk
Great Strides 2001 is a 10K (approximately 6.2 miles) corporate walk that is going on throughout the state.
A fun time was had by all at the Birmingham - Oak Mountain walk. In Birmingham we raised over $35,000!
Mobile Great Strides raised over $55,000.
Our second round of walks just finished in Anniston ($12,000), Decatur ($3500), Tuscaloosa (over $10,000), Huntsville ($18,000), Dothan (over $3,000), and Montgomery (over $16,000). Way to go!
This years the Great Strides Walk has been expanded to cover new territories. We have high hopes, and know that while we may not have met all of our goals this year, a strong foundation has been laid for the coming years!
Our next Great Strides walk takes place in September. These three walks will be held in Gulf Shores, Winfield, and Florence. In the meantime, we plan to raise funds through the Celebrity Waiter event, the Tennis auction ball and tournament, and the "Skins" golf tourney.
